AVIATES
Definition
A mnemonic for the required inspections and checks that keep an aircraft airworthy: Annual inspection, VOR check (for IFR), Inspections (100-hour), Airworthiness Directives, Transponder check, ELT inspection, and Static system check.
Why It Matters
Each AVIATES item has a different interval — some are calendar-based (annual, transponder, ELT), some are hour-based (100-hour), and ADs vary by directive. A scheduling system needs to track all of them independently.
