Booking Type
Definition
The category of a scheduled reservation: dual (with instructor), solo (student alone), rental (certificated pilot), maintenance (aircraft out of service), ground (classroom/sim), or discovery (intro flight).
Why It Matters
Different booking types have different validation rules. Dual flights need an instructor. Solo and rental flights need a checkout. Maintenance bookings block the aircraft. The scheduling system enforces these rules at booking time.
