Waitlist
Definition
A queue of students who want a time slot that's already booked. If the original booking cancels, the next person on the waitlist is automatically offered the slot.
Why It Matters
Waitlists improve aircraft utilization by filling cancellation gaps quickly. Automated notifications (email or SMS) when a slot opens reduce the time an aircraft sits idle after a cancellation.
